UsTOO Las Vegas to participate in screening event tomorrow at Catholic Charities

PCa Resource is sponsoring an event at Catholic Charities tomorrow in Las Vegas where free screening for the uninsured will be done. UsTOO will put up a booth and provide information handouts to those who come. Volunteers are welcome and can contact Tony Crispino at 917-7779 to arrange a meeting place.

UsTOO Las Vegas welcomes the Carson City chapter to the website.

The UsTOO Carson Prostate Cancer Support Group has joined us at this website and will also post their schedule and guest speaker information. UsTOO Carson is headed by Pat Williams. Their contact information and meeting schedules are now posted in the column on the right. We extend a big welcome to their group and our brothers in this fight against prostate cancer. As a larger group we are better coordinated to share information, have a louder voice with our government officials, and a better understanding of how prostate cancer affects our state.

As a result of adding the chapters in Pahrump and Carson City, this site has been renamed to:

UsTOO Pahrump to Post Meeting Schedules Here

The UsTOO leader in Pahrump, Jim Gregory, has agreed to post their meeting updates here for their group. Please welcome our Pahrump brothers. UsTOO Pahrump meets on the 4th Thursday of every month. If you would like to attend their meetings you are invited to do so.

The search for a new treasurer begins.

UsTOO Las Vegas is seeking a new treasurer for the 2010 year. Bill Palmer has held this position honorably for many years and he is now hoping to spend more time with his wife. Jerry Muench will help assemble the committee to elect a new treasurer. If anyone is interested please stay tuned as we work out how we will proceed with the election process.

UsTOO Las Vegas announces new leadership for 2010.

The UsTOO selection committee headed by Jerry Muench has announced that the Sitemaster here at this website, Tony Crispino, will lead the future UsTOO Las Vegas meetings starting in January.

UsTOO Las Vegas Meeting Update ~ November 19

Dr. Galsky has had to cancel his meeting with us tonight and he will not be attending our meeting. We hope to have him join us in the future. Tonight's agenda will be changed to discuss the current meeting format, possibly changing the meeting venue, and to discuss this website. We will also discuss the new years goals, and whether we will have a media day to promote our chapter for the Southern Nevada community.

UsTOO Meeting Notice ~ November 19, 2009

UsTOO Las Vegas will hold it's November meeting in the 1st floor auditorium at the Nevada Cancer Institute, 10441 West Twain Avenue on November 19, 2009 at 7:00pm.

Dr. Matt Galsky will be our guest speaker. He has written a book on prostate cancer and he will share it with us. This is the last meeting for 2009, so let's wrap up the year in grand fashion.

In the column on the right at the bottom will be a news feed from the "InfoLink", The InfoLink is managed by Prostate Cancer International. Mike Scott is the Sitemaster and has extensive experience in the medical and communications industries. Mike is a principle of Vox Medica, and also Prostate Cancer International. We feel his prostate cancer news feed will benefit all members of UsTOO Las Vegas.

2010 Starts a new year and a news blog for the Las Vegas chapter

The Las Vegas Chapter of UsToo will kickoff 2010 with a new facillitator. Jerry Muench is chairman of the committee to select the new facilitator. Lew Musgrove is retiring after running the program for 15 years. Lew's involvement with UsTOO has been enormous. The former president of UsTOO International has given years of honorable service and dedication to men with prostate cancer. We wish him well in his retirement.
